Hello! I’m Lukas Hager, a Ph.D. student in the University of Washington’s Department of Economics. My research interests are centered on adapting traditional Economic theory to internet settings.
During my Ph.D., I’ve worked as a Data Science & Engineering Fellow at EntityRisk, and as a Summer Data Analytics Consultant within Cornerstone Research’s Data Analytics and Programming Group.
Prior to coming to Seattle, I worked at the University of Michigan’s Department of Pathology as a Data Scientist. My work at the University of Michigan was focused on building predictive and descriptive models of Pathology workflow to provide decision-makers with real-time insights into the status of testing and slide creation. More recently, I built an analytic dashboard for the department to understand COVID-19 testing trends.
In the past, I’ve also worked as an analyst at Cornerstone Research and TGG Group, economic consulting firms which provide statistical, data-driven analysis for litigation.
In my free time, I enjoy rooting for Baltimore sports franchises, writing code, and running – check out my progress here:
My office is Savery Hall 319C.
