I’ve been a little tired of the Beamer slides that I’ve been making to TA and present things (all of our professors use Beamer, all the slides look the same, and after two and a half quarters, I’ve had enough). To break the trend, I’ve decided to create a quick presentation for a class using the xaringan
package in R . It’s pretty cool – maybe a little rough around the edges if you’re used to Beamer or PowerPoint, but generally really nice. An extra fun part about it is that you can use MathJax to add LaTeX to your slides, which is obviously a must for academia. My favorite part is the extension that allows you to write on slides: super useful! The slides can be found here.
